Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • STEP 2.Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the cabbage leaves and blanch for 2-3 minutes, or until softened.
  • STEP 3.In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • STEP 4.Add the onion, garlic, bell pepper, and spices to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
  • STEP 5.Stir in the cooked rice and tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • STEP 6.Place a spoonful of the beef and rice mixture onto each cabbage leaf. Roll up the leaf, tucking in the sides as you go.
  • STEP 7.Place the cabbage rolls in a baking dish. Pour the Tex-Mex sauce over the rolls.
