  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 400 gram pork
  • 1 Nos garlic head
  • 1 stick Nos cinnamon
  • 1 Nos star anise
  • 2 Nos cloves
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon five spice powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • As required Water
  • 4 Nos egg

How to Make Tau Yu Bak Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

Coat pork with dark soy sauce. Coat pork with dark soy sauce. Pan fry pork for 3-4 minutes without oil. Toast garlic in oven at 200 degrees celcius for 10 minutes. Now add cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, ginger, pepper, five spices and garlic on the pork.

Then add soy sauce mix well and after 30 mins add rock sugar. Add 1 tbsp of water if too dry. After sugar melts and the dish thickens add hot water in the pot enough to cover the ingredients. Then add hard boiled eggs and cook them on medium for an hour. Serve with sambal belacon.
