Tashan -e-ghiya chat Recipe

Tashan -e-ghiya chat is a very yummy and healthy snack .I created this dish for my kids who always want chatpata thing . The hero of the dish is ghiya(bottle gaurd) which is fried with besan coating and than topped with fruity chutney ,curd dip and green coconut milk chutney.

Ingredients for Tashan -e-ghiya chat Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Ghiya
  • 1/4 cup Besan
  • 100 Litre Oil-for frying
  • to taste Salt-to taste
  • 0.13 Tsp red chilly powder
  • 0.13 Tsp Haldi
  • 0.13 Tsp Chat masala
  • 0.13 cup Green Coriander-(chopped)
  • 0.13 Cup Water-to make besan paste
  • 1/2 g Ingredients for plum and imli khajoor chutney
  • 1/2 cup Imli pulp
  • 4 Pieces Plum
  • 100 g Dates
  • 1/4 cup gur
  • to taste Salt-to taste
  • 1/4 Inch Ginger powder
  • 1/2 Tsp jeera powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 g Ingredients for curd n Mayo dip
  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • 1 Tbsp Mayo
  • to taste Salt-to taste
  • to taste Black salt-to taste
  • 1/4 Tsp jeera powder
  • 1/2 g Coriander and coconut milk chutney
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
  • 1.50 Tbsp Coconut milk
  • 1/2 Cups Green chilli
  • to taste Salt-to taste
  • 1/4 Tsp jeera powder
  • 1/4 inch Ginger
  • 1 Pieces Garlic
  • Sprig Mint-few leaved
  • 1 Pieces Ice cube
  • 1 Tbsp water

Directions: Tashan -e-ghiya Chat Recipe

  • STEP 1.*Method*
  • STEP 2.*Ghiya popcorn*
  • STEP 3.Mix besan with water and all the spices.and keep little besan dry with salt in it.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in kadhai
  • STEP 5.Now dip the ghiya in dry besan first and than dip it in besan batter and fry them.
  • STEP 6.After frying sprinkle with little chat masala when they are hot.
  • STEP 7.*Method of plum chutney*
  • STEP 8.Take a pan and heat imli pulp,plum, khajoor and now add salt n spices. Now add sugar. Adjust salt n sugar to taste. Boil it till every thing comes together and thick.
  • STEP 9.*Method to make curd dip*
  • STEP 10.Mix curd,Mayo and spices and it's ready.
  • STEP 11.*Assemble of dish*
  • STEP 12.Take satay stick and screw 4 ghiya pieces in it.
  • STEP 13.Likewise ready 4 sticks.
  • STEP 14.Now top it with curd on each piece. Now top with plum chutney and than green chutney. Now top it with mango pieces and ginger jullian . Now decorate with edible flowers.
