Ingredients for tarriwali misal pav Recipe

  • as required Bread / Pav as required
  • 250 g sprouted cowpea (chawli)
  • 3 pieces Onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Tomato puree
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Misal masala
  • 1 tsp onion lasan masala
  • 1 tsp roasted coriander cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • 8 pieces Curry leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • as required Farsan
  • as required Seve
  • as required Coriander
  • as required Lemon juice

Directions: Tarriwali Misal Pav Recipe

  • STEP 1. Chop the onion coriander. To puree the tomatoes. Cook cowpea( chawli) in a cooker.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, turmeric and asafoetida, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, sugar, add ginger garlic paste, half of the chopped onions and saute it well. Now add tomato puree to it and saute it well. Now add cooked cowpea, salt and water according to the requirement and bring it to boil for 5-7 minutes and cook it.
  • STEP 3. Take a farsan in the dish and put it on top of hot tarri cowpeas misal add seve, onion, coriander and squeeze lemon and serve it with pav.
  • STEP 4.Tip: Adding sugar with red chillies in the tadka makes the tarri good and the color becomes better.
