Taro Sago Recipe

Recipe By Slurrp

Easy, quick and famous chinese simple soup. Taro sago (tapioca dessert) is a deliciously creamy and fragrant Cantonese dessert soup/drink that's very popular in Taiwan. Although the drink that Taiwan is known for is bubble tea, taro sago, with it's amazing flavor and contrasting textures is arguably just as awesome, if not better.

  • 300 gram Taro
  • 400 milliliter Water
  • 50 gram Sugar
  • 0.17 teaspoon Salt

Directions: Taro Sago Recipe

  • STEP 1.Cut the taro into pieces one inch thick, and steam for 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool after steaming, then cut into cubes.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Press one hundred grams of taro into a coarse paste, so that the sago has a taro flavor.

step 3

  • STEP 2.Slowly put the sago into 800 ml of boiling water, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes on medium-low heat until the sago becomes transparent.
