Ingredients for Tang Yuan Recipe

  • 80 gram black sesame seeds
  • 2.50 tablespoon Sugar
  • 40 gram softened lard
  • 130 gram glutinous rice flour
  • 3 tablespoon Boiling water
  • 4 tablespoon Water

Directions: Tang Yuan Recipe

  • STEP 1.Roast the seeds in a frying pan.
  • STEP 2.Grind all the sesame seeds and sugar into a paste.
  • STEP 3.Add butter and mix well. Refrigerate it.
  • STEP 4.Divide in portions and make small balls.  put the balls back in the fridge.
  • STEP 5.In a mixing bowl, pour hot water into glutinous rice and stir.
  • STEP 6.Add room temperature water and knead using your hands. Divide into portions  and roll balls.
  • STEP 7.Flatten a piece of dough into a round wrapper and place a ball of filling in the center. Seal the ball upwards
  • STEP 8.Bring a large pot to boil and gently slide in some tang yuan.
  • STEP 9.When balls start floating on the top turn off the flame and dish out.
  • STEP 10.Freeze the tang yuan right away. Put them in an airtight bags.
