Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them well. Let the chicken marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • STEP 3.Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat.
  • STEP 4.Place the marinated chicken on a baking sheet or grill rack and cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  • STEP 5.Serve the Tandoori Murgh hot with naan bread and mint chutney.

Cooking Tips

  • For a more authentic flavor, you can use a tandoor or a charcoal grill instead of an oven.
  • If using a grill, make sure to oil the grill grates to prevent the chicken from sticking.
  • You can also add a few drops of lemon juice to the marinade for a tangy flavor.

Storage and Serving

  • Leftover Tandoori Murgh can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, place the chicken in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.
  • Serve the Tandoori Murgh as a main dish with rice or as a filling for wraps and sandwiches.
