Ingredients for Tamarind & Lemongrass Tofu Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon Peanut oil
  • 400 gram Tofu cut into bite sized cubes
  • 2 Lemongrass finely chopped stalks
  • 5 Shallots thinly sliced Nos
  • 2 Green chillies thinly sliced Nos
  • 3 tablespoon Tamarind sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon Thai fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Brown sugar

Directions: Tamarind & Lemongrass Tofu Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.heat 1 tsp peanut oil in a pan over high heat.
  • STEP 1.add 400 gm cubed tofu and fry for 2 to3 minutes till golden brown on all sides.
  • STEP 2.Then add 2 stalks lemongrass finely chopped , 2 green chilies thinly sliced , 5 shallots thinly sliced.
  • STEP 3.Stir fry for 5 minutes until onions become translucent. Add 3 tsp tamarind sauce , 2 tsp lime juice , 2 tsp fish sauce and 2 tsp brown sugar . Mix well and stir fry for 4 minutes . Turn off the heat .
  • STEP 4.Serve hot.
