Ingredients for Tamarind Date Chutney Recipe

  • 1/2 cup seedless tamarind / imli
  • 1/2 cup seedless dates / khajoor
  • 1/2 cup jaggery /gud
  • 3 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Raisins/Kismis
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander/Dhaniya powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel/saunf powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Roasted cumin / jeera powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry ginger / Sonth powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Rock Salt / Kala Namak
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • As required Salt

Directions: Tamarind Date Chutney Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Add some tamarind, dates, jaggery and water in a pan.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Stir and boil this mixture for 10 minutes.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add the remaining ingredients into the pan and give it a stir.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Simmer it for two minutes.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Use a hand blender to make a smooth puree out of it.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Strain with a sieve and discard the pulp.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Transfer the chutney into a glass jar and refrigerate.
