In a bowl add shortening and sugar
Whip until cream
Add baking powder,cinnamon, and ½ masa harina
Add remain masa harina and mix well
Add the chopped pecans
Fold them low
Soak the corn husk for 30mins
Add the masa on the center of corn husk
In a steamer add water
Add the tamales upside open
Steam for 1hour
