Ingredients for Sweet Potato Sabji Recipe

  • 2 No.s Sweet Potatoes
  • 2 No.s Tomatoes
  • 2 No.s Onions
  • 1 No.s minced Garlic
  • 1.50 piece Ginger
  • As required a few Curry leaves
  • 2 No.s Green chillies
  • 1 As required pinch Asafoetida or
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
  • As required A few Cilantro
  • 2 As required tbsp Mango powder
  • As required Oil  for cooking
  • 1 cup Water

Directions: Sweet Potato Sabji Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take 2 sweet potatoes, peel them finely and then remove the top and bottom portions and cut into dices
  • STEP 2.Heat a pan with some oil, add a spoon of asafoetida, cumin seeds, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and fry for half a minute. Then add onions cook until transparent, add green chillies,  red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well. Now add sweet potatoes. And cook for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Add coriander powder, salt to taste and cook on low flame for 3 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Then add tomatoes and a cup of water. Cover and cook for 3 minutes. Cook on low flame. The sabji is ready. Add a spoon of mango powder and garam masala. Mix well and serve.
