  • 1/4 cup Rice
  • 0.06 cup Moong Dal
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Jaggery
  • 0.13 cup Condensed Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 2.75 Ws
  • 1/2 tablespoon Raisins
  • 0.13 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • as required Roasted Nuts For Garnish

Directions: Sweet Pongal With Condensed Milk Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak rice and moong dal for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the soaked rice and dal with water until soft and mushy.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, melt ghee and add cashews and raisins. Fry until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add the cooked rice and dal mixture to the pan and mix well.
  • STEP 5.In another pan, melt jaggery with a little water to make a syrup.
  • STEP 6.Add the jaggery syrup to the rice and dal mixture and mix well.
  • STEP 7.Add condensed milk and cardamom powder to the pan and cook on low heat for a few minutes.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with roasted nuts and serve warm or chilled.

  • Make sure to soak the rice and dal before cooking to ensure they cook evenly and become soft.
  • Adjust the sweetness according to your preference by adding more or less jaggery.
