Ingredients for Sundakkai Paruppu Kootu Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Shallot
  • 5 No.s Red chilli
  • As required Salt
  • 1 No.s Tomato
  • 1 tablespoon Sambar powder
  • 1 cup Turkey berry
  • 1.50 cup Water
  • 1.25 cup Moong dal
  • 1 Mustard tspn
  • 1 Cumin seeds tspn
  • As required Curry leaves

step 1

  • STEP 1.Chop shallots and tomato

step 2

  • STEP 2.For tadka-add tbsp ghee,mustard,cumin seeds,red chilli and curry leaves.

  • STEP 3.1.add ghee in a pot and heat it.

step 6

  • STEP 4.2.add shallot,red chilli and saute for 30 secs.

step 7

  • STEP 5.3.add sliced tomato,sambar powder and saute for 3 mins.

step 8

  • STEP 6.4.add crushed turkey berry and saute for a min.

step 9

  • STEP 7.5.add water,cover it and cook for 10 mins.

step 10

  • STEP 8.6.now add cooked dal and cook for 2 mins.

step 11

  • STEP 9.7.now mix the prepared dal into the dal
