Ingredients for Suji vegetables handva Recipe

  • 0.33 cup suji
  • 0.67 tbsp Besan
  • 0.33 tbsp Rice flour
  • 0.33 cup dahi
  • 0.67 tbsp beans chopped fine
  • 0.67 tbsp Capsicum chopped fine
  • 1 g Carrot grated
  • 0.17 tbsp Ginger paste
  • 0.33 tbsp green chili paste/chopped
  • 2.67 Pieces Curry leaves
  • 0.67 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 0.33 tsp teaspoon rai
  • 0.33 tsp jeera
  • 0.17 tsp Haldi
  • 0.17 tsp Chilli powder
  • 0.33 inch Asafoetida
  • 0.33 tsp Eno
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.67 tbsp Oil
  • 0.67 tbsp Tomato

Directions: Suji Vegetables Handva Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. In a bowl add suji, besan, rice flour, haldi, chilli powder, salt and mix well
  • STEP 2.2. Add dahi and make medium consistency batter by adding enough water. Cover and rest for 10 mins
  • STEP 3.3. Now add all the vegetables, coriander, half the curry leaves, ginger and chilli paste. Stir to mix well.
  • STEP 4.4. Add eno and gently mix
  • STEP 5.5. Heat a pan; add 1 tablespoon oil, rai, jeera, hing and let it splutter.
  • STEP 6.6. Add to the batter and mix.
  • STEP 7.7. In the same pan add 1 tablespoon oil, rai, jeera, til, curry leaves and let it splutter
  • STEP 8.8. Now pour the batter over the seasoning, gently shake the pan to let the batter level on its own.
  • STEP 9.9. Cover and cook on medium to low heat for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 10.10. Now to flip the handvo -with a help of a plate invert the pan on the plate and slide the handvo back in the pan.. Cover and cook for 10 mins again.
  • STEP 11.11. Check by inserting a tooth pick. If it comes out clean the handvo is done.
  • STEP 12.12. Cut it in pieces and serve with chutney of your choice
