  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 0.13 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fenugreek Leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Grated Ginger
  • 1 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, yogurt, and water to make a thick batter.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped fenugreek leaves, grated ginger, green chilies, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 3.Heat an appe pan and add a few drops of oil in each cavity. Pour a spoonful of batter into each cavity.
  • STEP 4.Cover and cook on low heat for a few minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Flip the appe using a spoon or skewer and cook the other side until golden brown.
  • STEP 6.Remove from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with chutney or sauce.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure the batter is thick and not too runny to get the perfect texture of appe.
  • You can add finely chopped onions, grated carrots, or other vegetables of your choice to the batter for added flavor and nutrition.
  • If you don't have an appe pan, you can also use a regular non-stick pan and make small pancakes instead.
