Directions: Stuffed Dahi Bhalla Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak urad dal and moong dal in water for 4-5 hours, then grind into a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Add salt and baking soda to the batter, and mix well.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan, and drop spoonfuls of the batter to make small dumplings. Fry until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Remove the dumplings from the oil and soak them in water for 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Meanwhile, prepare the stuffing by mixing boiled and mashed potatoes with spices.
  • STEP 6.Take the soaked dumplings out of the water, squeeze out the excess water, and make a small hole in each dumpling.
  • STEP 7.Stuff the dumplings with the potato filling.
  • STEP 8.To serve, place the stuffed dumplings in a serving dish, pour beaten yogurt over them, and drizzle with tamarind and mint chutneys.
  • STEP 9.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, sev, and sprinkle with chaat masala.
  • STEP 10.Stuffed Dahi Bhalla is ready to be enjoyed. Serve chilled.
