Ingredients for Stuffed Bitter Melon With Pork Recipe
2 Bitter melon slit in half lengthwise Nos
1 pound Ground Pork
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon Chicken soup base
1 teaspoon Sesame oil
1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
1 teaspoon Cornstarch
1 Egg Nos
Directions: Stuffed Bitter Melon With Pork Recipe
STEP 1.1 cut 2 bitter melons in half lengthwise. Use a spoon and scoop out the seeds.
STEP 2.2 in a bowl add 1 lb ground pork, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp brown sugar, ½ tsp chicken soup base, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch and mix all the ingredients well to ensure that there are no lumps of cornstarch.
STEP 3.3 crack 1 egg into the bowl and mix well with the seasoned ground pork.
STEP 4.4 fill each half of the bitter melon with the ground pork mixture. Place the stuffed melon halves in a bowl 2 pieces at a time.
STEP 5.5 fill a pan half full with water and bring it to a boil.
STEP 6.6 place the bowl in the pan and cover the pan. Steam for 20 minutes. Check that the pork is cooked through. Turn off the heat.
STEP 7.7 serve hot.
