  • 2 cup Poha
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 3/4 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • As required Ingredients for Tadka
  • 1 tablespoon Refined oil
  • 10-12 Groundnuts
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 No.s Onion
  • 10-12 Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon Fennel seeds
  • 2 No.s Green chillies

  • STEP 1.Preparation directions for poha

  • STEP 1.Take the poha in a chalni and wash it 1 or 2 times with water by gentle hands.

  • STEP 1.Then transfer the poha in a bowl and add 1/4th cup of water in a bowl and let the poha soak the water for 2-3 mins.

  • STEP 1.Now again move the poha into the chalni so that the extra water can come out

  • STEP 1.And add ½ tsp salt ½ tsp turmeric and mix it well. Preparation direction for tadka.

  • STEP 1.Heat the oil in a pan and add groundnuts and roast it and take out after it . roasted

  • STEP 1.Add 1 tsp oil and heat it, then add mustard seeds. Now add chopped onions and fry it.

  • STEP 1.Then add curry leaves and fennel seeds to get the desired taste of indori poha. Then add green chilies, salt, turmeric powder and mix it thoroughly on low flame.

  • STEP 1.After the tadka is prepared add poha into it and mix it well. Add 1/2 tsp red chili.

  • STEP 1.Add ½ tsp roasted cumin powder. Mix all well.

  • STEP 1.Take a bowl. Add 1 tsp chaat masala.

  • STEP 1.Add ½ black salt . Add 1/2 tsp red chili. Add 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder. Mix all well.

  • STEP 1.add a cup of water in a kadai (cooking pot).

  • STEP 1.place a small plate onto the water in an inside out position. now place the chalni along with poha above the plate and cover it for 4-5 mins.

  • STEP 1.steam it on medium flame until it appears bright yellow.
