Ingredients for Squid/Kanava Curry Recipe
- 100 gram Squid
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 green chili finely chopped
- As required Ginger finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2-4 curry leaves
- 1 cup Shredded coconut
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon aniseed
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- As required Cardamom
- As required Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon coconut/ cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 2 red chilies

How to Make Squid/kanava Curry Recipe
Chop the gingers. Chop the green chilies and onion.
Shred the coconut . In a cooking bowl add the 100gm squid ,chopped onion, green chilies and ginger
Add 1tsp turmeric powder,1tsp shredded coconut and 2 to 3 curry leaves . Add 1/2 cup water and heat the bowl.
Cover the bowl and let it cook . Heat the frying pan and roast 1 cup shredded coconut
Add 1tsp red chili powder, coriander powder , cardamom , cinnamon and 1tsp aniseed . Mix well and add 1 cup of water and cook well for 1 min
Add the mixture of shredded coconut and spices to the cooking squid in the cooking bowl . And let it cook for 2min and on the other side in a frying pan
Add 1tsp of coconut/cooking oil , fry 1tsp of mustard seeds , 2 red chilies, ⅓ cup of chopped onion and 3 curry leaves in it .
Add this fried spices to the cooking squid in another bowl with the oil . Mix well and serve.
