Ingredients for Spicy Orange And Beef Stir Fry Recipe

  • 500 gram Beef fillet
  • 2 No.s Oranges
  • 2 No.s Spring onions
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice
  • 2.50 gram Ginger
  • 1 No.s Star anise
  • 4 No.s Dried red chillies
  • 1 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon White sugar
  • 1.50 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoon Corn flour
  • 2 teaspoon Olive oil
  • As required Salt

Directions: Spicy Orange And Beef Stir Fry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a bowl containing juice of 2 oranges, add 1 tbsp whtie sugar, 2 tbsp hot water and mix well to dissolve the sugar.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 in a large mixing bowl add 500 gm thinly sliced beef fillet, 2 tsp olive oil, 4 ½ tbsp corn flour and mix well to evenly coat the beef.

  • STEP 3.3 in a small bowl combine ½ tbsp corn flour with 50 ml water and mix to get a smooth paste.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 in a wok heat 1 tbsp oil on medium heat, add thinly sliced peel of two oranges, add the orange juice mixture and bring to a boil.

  • STEP 5.5 remove and transfer to a bowl.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 heat another 1 tbsp oil on high heat and add the marinated beef slices. Stir fry until the beef changes colour.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 then remove and keep aside.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 heat another2 tbsp oil on low heat,add 2 ½ gm finely chopped ginger ,1 finely chopped garlic clove, 1 star anise, 4 dried red chillies and stir fry for 1 minute.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 turn the heat to high and add the orange juice and peel. Stir and bring to a boil.

step 10

  • STEP 10.10 then add the beef back to the pan, add 1 tbsp dark soy sauce. 1 ½ tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp chinese five spice and stir together well.

step 11

  • STEP 11.11 then add the prepared cornflour and water mixture, 2 roughly chopped spring onions and stir fry for 1 minute.

step 12

  • STEP 12.12 add salt, turn off the heat and serve.
