A spicy stir fry of pork with chilli with crunchy cabbage carrot and onion in hoisin sauce and chillies The Thai sweet chili sauce gives this dish a sweet and spicy flavor that my kids love. You can adjust the heat level by adding more or less of the sauce or adding additional red pepper flakes, if you like it really hot.

  • 300 gram Pork fillet
  • 3 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
  • 3 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 5 gram Ginger
  • 1 No.s Red chilli
  • 1/2 teaspoon Star anise powder
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato puree
  • 1 No.s Red Onion
  • 125 gram Green cabbage
  • 1 No.s Carrot
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • As required Salt

Directions: Spicy Hoisin Pork And Cabbage Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a mixing bowl add 3 tbsp hoisin sauce, 3 cloves finely chopped garlic, 5 gm finely chopped ginger, 1 finely chopped red chilli, ½ tsp star anise powder, 1 tbsp tomato puree and mix well.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 add 300 gm pork fillet cut into thin strips and mix well to coat the pork.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 leave to marinate in the fridge for upto 1 hour.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok on high heat , add marinated pork and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 then add 1 thinly sliced red onion, 125 gm thinly sliced green cabbage, 1 thinly sliced carrot and stir fry for another 2 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 add salt and stir.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 add 1 tbsp toast sesame seeds and stir.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 serve hot with rice.
