Cut elephant yam into big slices.
Chop onion, tomato, ginger and coriander leaves. Add water in a pot.
Boil sliced elephant yam,add 1 tsp turmeric powder,1 sp salt and boil for 15 mins.
Prepare a mixture of- 1 sp red chilli powder,¼ sp turmeric powder,¼ sp salt.
Now sprinkle it on boiled elephant yam on both the sides
add oil in a frying pan and fry the elephant yam from both the sides. Add oil in a cooking pot and heat it.
now add onions, ginger and tomato. then add ¾ tsp salt,½ tsp turmeric powder,1 tsp red chili powder and coriander leaves.
now take a banana leaf and put the cooked mixture below and elephant yam above it and again top it with the mixture.
now fold the banana leaf and fry it on a pan for 2-3 mins. then unfold the banana leaf and add coriander leaves and lemon juice.
