Croquettes is originated in france, is a small bread crumbed fried food roll containing, usually as main ingredients, mashed potatoes or ground meat (veal, beef, chicken, or turkey). The croquette is usually shaped into a cylinder, disk, or oval shape, and then deep-fried. The croquette (from the french croquer, "to crunch") gained worldwide popularity, both as a delicacy and as a fast food. Chole is the name for the larger and lighter coloured chickpea commonly found in the west. These are known as kabuli chana. In this recipe i have prepared spicy chole croquettes and stuffed them in the burger served with vegetable salad and burger mayo.

  • 0.19 cup For Croquettes Boiled chickpeas or kabuli chana
  • 1/4 Boiled potatoes – medium size. Grated
  • 0.13 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 0.13 onion Medium– finely chopped
  • 1/4 tomato finely chopped – medium
  • 0.06 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 0.13 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chole garam masala
  • 0.06 cup Finely chopped coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon Juice
  • As required Salt
  • 0.38 tablespoon Bread crumbs
  • 0.13 tablespoon Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup oil – for frying
  • 1/2-3/4 Green paste – Green chilli – finely chopped Hot
  • 3/4-1 garlic – sliced
  • 0.06 inch Ginger
  • 1/2-3/4 tablespoon For Slurry flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon Rice flour
  • As required Salt
  • 1/4-1/2 As required water – for preparing slurry + tbsp for chole
  • 1/4 cup For the coating Crushed Dry Vermicelli
  • As required Other ingredients – for serving tomato Ketchup or Any dip
  • 1 For burgers – burgers
  • 1/2-3/4 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2-3/4 Cheese slice
  • 3/4 tablespoon Veg Mayonnaise
  • 1/2-3/4 Lettuce leaves
