How to Make Spaghetti With Cheese Balls In Tomato Basil Sauce Recipe

Cooking Directions

STEP 01

Finely chop the required number of Britannia cheese cubes and keep aside.

STEP 02

Into a mixing bowl add 2 boiled and mashed potatoes, 1 capsicum finely chopped,1 finely grated carrot, 1 finely chopped onion, 2 tsp mixed herbs, salt to taste and 2 tbsp cornflour.

STEP 03

Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

STEP 04

Next grease palms with a little oil and take a small portion of the potato mixture, flatten it on the palm and place a few pieces of the chopped cheese in the centre. Then fold over the mixture to seal it and shape it into a ball. Once all the mixture is made into stuffed cheese balls, toss each ball in bread crumbs.

STEP 05

Heat the paniyaram pan and drizzle a little oil into all the cavities. Fill the cavities with the cheese balls and fry till they are evenly brown on all sides. Keep turning the balls over every few minutes to ensure even browning. Once all the balls are fried,keep aside.

STEP 06

To make the tomato basil sauce, heat a pan and add 1 tbsp olive oil, 6 cloves chopped garlic and 1 finely chopped onion. Saute till the onion turns lightly golden brown.

STEP 07

Then add 2 cups of tomato puree, salt to taste and 1tsp sugar to cut the sourness of the tomatoes.

STEP 08

Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, ¼ cup cream and 1 sprig torn basil leaves and mix well. Stir and allow the mixture to come to a brisk boil for 3 to 4 minutes . Turn off the heat.

STEP 09

To make herbed spaghetti, heat a pan and add 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 4 cloves finely chopped garlic. Saute the garlic for about 30 seconds till soft but not brown.

STEP 10

Then add 2 tsp mixed herbs, 1 tsp chilli flakes, 300 gms cooked spaghetti, salt to taste and olive oil on the top. Mix well to combine pasta with the oil, garlic and mixed herbs. Turn off the heat.
