  • 2 No.s Potato boiled and mashed
  • 1 No.s Capsicum finely chopped
  • 2 No.s Onion Finely Chopped
  • 1 No.s Carrot finely grated
  • As required Britannia Cheese cubes finely chopped a few
  • 2 tablespoon Corn flour
  • 4 teaspoon Mixed herbs
  • As required Salt
  • As required Oil to fry

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 6 Garlic chopped cloves
  • 2 cup Tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cream
  • 1 sprig Basil leaves torn
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • As required Ingredients for Pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin Olive oil
  • 4 Garlic finely chopped cloves
  • 300 gram Spaghetti cooked
  • 1 flakes Chilli tsp
  • As required Chopped fresh herbs to garnish

Directions: Spaghetti With Cheese Balls In Tomato Basil Sauce Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Finely chop the required number of Britannia cheese cubes and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Into a mixing bowl add 2 boiled and mashed potatoes, 1 capsicum finely chopped,1 finely grated carrot, 1 finely chopped onion, 2 tsp mixed herbs, salt to taste and 2 tbsp cornflour.
  • STEP 3.Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • STEP 4.Next grease palms with a little oil and take a small portion of the potato mixture, flatten it on the palm and place a few pieces of the chopped cheese in the centre. Then fold over the mixture to seal it and shape it into a ball. Once all the mixture is made into stuffed cheese balls, toss each ball in bread crumbs.
  • STEP 5.Heat the paniyaram pan and drizzle a little oil into all the cavities. Fill the cavities with the cheese balls and fry till they are evenly brown on all sides. Keep turning the balls over every few minutes to ensure even browning. Once all the balls are fried,keep aside.
  • STEP 6.To make the tomato basil sauce, heat a pan and add 1 tbsp olive oil, 6 cloves chopped garlic and 1 finely chopped onion. Saute till the onion turns lightly golden brown.
  • STEP 7.Then add 2 cups of tomato puree, salt to taste and 1tsp sugar to cut the sourness of the tomatoes.
  • STEP 8.Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, ¼ cup cream and 1 sprig torn basil leaves and mix well. Stir and allow the mixture to come to a brisk boil for 3 to 4 minutes . Turn off the heat.
  • STEP 9.To make herbed spaghetti, heat a pan and add 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 4 cloves finely chopped garlic. Saute the garlic for about 30 seconds till soft but not brown.
  • STEP 10.Then add 2 tsp mixed herbs, 1 tsp chilli flakes, 300 gms cooked spaghetti, salt to taste and olive oil on the top. Mix well to combine pasta with the oil, garlic and mixed herbs. Turn off the heat.
