  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Soybean chunks
  • 1 No.s Chopped onion
  • 2 No.s Chopped green chillies
  • 5 Chopped garlic pods
  • 5 No.s Chopped beans
  • 1/2 cup Grated coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds

How to Make Soya Chunk Thoran Recipe

STEP 01

Boil water in a saucepan with ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp turmeric powder.

Add 1 cup of soybean chunks and cook till the soya chunks are swelled up.

STEP 01

Transfer the soya chunks to a bowl of warm water to wash off.

STEP 01

Pulse the soya chunks in a grater.

STEP 01

Saute the chopped vegetables in a pan.

STEP 01

Prepare coconut mix in a grinder with ½ cup of grated coconut, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and ¼ tsp cumin seeds.

STEP 01

Transfer the coconut mix to the sauteed vegetables and mix well.

STEP 01

Also add in the pulsed soya chunks and cook in a medium flame for 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the flame and the soya chunks side dish is ready.
