Ingredients for Sohan Halwa Recipe

  • 3 liter Milk
  • 1 cup maida
  • 1 cup samak
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 2.50 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • As required A few Chopped almonds

Directions: Sohan Halwa Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a pan add 3 litres of milk and let it boil.

step 2

  • STEP 1.In a bowl take maida, namak and a little bit of water. Mix it well.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add this mixture to the boiling milk and give it a stir.

step 4

  • STEP 1.In a bowl take ½ cup curd, a pinch of tatri, and whisk it.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Add the curd into the boiling milk and keep on stirring it.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Cook it for 4 hours on low flame until the milk is reduced.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Now add 2 ½ cups of sugar and mix it for a few minutes.

step 8

  • STEP 1.Now add ½ cup ghee and mix it nicely and add chopped almonds in it

step 9

  • STEP 1.Turn off the flame when the mixture becomes thick and take it out in a big tray.

step 10

  • STEP 1.Let it cool and set for a while and your sohan halwa is ready to be served.
