This smoked salmon bisque is flavored with both fresh and smoked salmon. Although it's an elegant soup with lots of complex flavors, it is super simple to make.

Ingredients for Smoked Salmon Bisque Recipe

  • 0.13 cup Butter
  • 1/2 part Leek, white only, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Chopped yellow or brown onion
  • 1/2 cup Thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 tablespoon Minced garlic
  • 1.50 tablespoon All purpose flour
  • 1/2 quart Clam juice, fish stock, shrimp stock, or vegetable stock
  • 2 ounce Hot smoked salmon, cut into small pieces
  • 14 ounce 1 canned whole tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh chopped parsley
  • 0.13 cup Fresh chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh chopped dill
  • 0.06 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.06 teaspoon Crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Cream plus 1 cup milk, or 2 cups 1/2 and 1/2
  • 6 ounce Fresh salmon filets
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • As required Salt to taste
