Ingredients for Smoked Flavored Dahi Bhalle Recipe

  • 1/4 Cup soaked urad dal
  • 0.06 Cup yellow moong dal
  • 1/2 Pieces small green chilies
  • 1/4 Inch piece of ginger
  • 0.06 Tsp asafoetida
  • To Taste salt
  • As Required as per need Fresh curd
  • As Required tamarind chutney
  • 1/4 Tsp chaat masala
  • 1/4 Tbsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 Tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 Tbsp mustard powder
  • As Required As per taste Salt
  • As Required oil for frying
  • As Required for the smokey flavour(angaar)
  • 1/4 Pieces Piece coal
  • 0.06 Tsp ghee
  • 0.03 Tsp asafoetida
  • 1/4 Tbsp mixed seeds ( melon & Pumpkin seeds)
  • 1/4 Tbsp sunflower pumpkin seeds)

Directions: Smoked Flavored Dahi Bhalle Recipe

  • STEP 1.2 tbsp mixed seeds (linseed, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds) Roast all the seeds lightly and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Wash the washed urad dal and moong dal 4-5 times with clean water and soak for 4 to 5 hours. Now take out the lentils from the water, add green chillies, ginger and grind them in a mixer. Add asafoetida, salt and mix it.
  • STEP 3.Now beat the mixture of lentils by hand. The lentils will puff up and become soft
  • STEP 4.Now make small balls of them and fry them in hot oil till they become golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Now burn the coal on the gas, it turns red well, then put the coal in a small steel bowl and keep that bowl in a big vessel.
  • STEP 6.Now put 1/4 tsp ghee and immediately put asafoetida over the coal. the smoke starts coming out, immediately cover the lid. Keep it covered for about 5 minutes,take out the coal. now add about 1 liter of lukewarm water, salt according to taste and 1 tbsp of mustard seeds powder in the water and mix.
  • STEP 7.Put all the prepared bhalle in it. When it becomes soft, take it out in the water and press it with your hands to remove the water.
  • STEP 8.To serve them, keep them in a plate. Now put tamarind chutney on it. Add curd. (Add one teaspoon sugar, salt as per taste and mix in curd). Put red chili powder, and roasted cumin powder on it. Sprinkle some chaat masala and some roasted mix seeds.
  • STEP 9.Now serve sour sweet curd bhalla
