Ingredients for Sitafal Phirni Recipe

  • 1/2 cup custard apple pulp + for topping
  • 1 liter Milk
  • 5-7 tablespoon rice, soaked for 5 6 hours
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • 5-7 skinned and sliced almonds, soaked
  • 1/4 cup chopped mixed almonds and pistachios

step 1

  • STEP 1.Rinse and drain the rice and then grind them into a smooth paste with water as required, it will mostly depend on the quality of your rice.

  • STEP 2.Heat the milk in a non-stick pan and bring to boil, keep an eye on the milk as it has a tendency to overflow. Add rice paste, mix gently with the milk and cook for about 5-7 minutes or till thick and smooth.

  • STEP 3.Add sugar, stir until they meltdowns and cook till mixture reduces to half. Add the custard apple pulp, cardamom powder, and almond slices, mix and cook for another 5 minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 4.Place the phirni in a serving bowl, garnish with some custard apple pulp and mixed nuts, refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve it chilled.
