  • 1 tablespoon Ghee

  • STEP 1.Heat ghee in a pan and add singhara aata (water chestnut flour). Roast it on low heat until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
  • STEP 2.In a separate pan, heat water and jaggery/sugar. Stir until the jaggery/sugar dissolves completely.
  • STEP 3.Add the jaggery/sugar syrup to the roasted singhara aata and mix well. Cook on low heat until the halwa thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  • STEP 4.Add cardamom powder and mix well. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped nuts.
  • STEP 5.Serve hot or warm. Singhara Aata Halwa can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
