  • STEP 1.Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a large pan, heat oil and add whole spices like bay leaves, cinnamon, and cardamom.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped vegetables, spices, and salt. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
