Sindhi kadhi is the most popular Sindhi dish had with chawal. It is a besan based curry with lots of vegetables. Sindhi kadhi chawal, a staple food in every Sindhi household. Be it for its quick prep time or the large quantities, Sindhi Kadhi Chawal is also the preferred dish during wedding times.

Ingredients for Sindhi kadhi Recipe

  • 1/2 Tbsp Oil
  • A Few Curry leaves
  • 1/4 Tbsp jeera powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Hing
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 Pieces Green chilli
  • 1/4 Tbsp Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
  • 1/4 Tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 3/4 Tbsp Besan
  • 3/4 Tbsp Flour (atta)
  • 1/4 Litre water
  • 1/4 pieces 1 Butta (full Corn) chopped into
  • 3/4 Pieces Potato
  • A Handful Beans
  • 1.25 Pieces Kokum
  • 3/4 Pieces Tomatoes grated
  • 1/4 tbsp Jaggery
  • As Required Imli water
  • As Required For Ganishing Coriander leaves

Directions: Sindhi Kadhi Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a kadhai, add oil, curry leaves, jeera, hing, methi dana, red chilli powder, green chilli and besan. Cook for about 2-3 mins and then add atta.
  • STEP 2.Cook until the colour gets darker. then add water and let it boil. Boil for about 15 mins and then add corn( full corn cut in 5-6pcs), poato( cut in 4pcs) and green beans. Cook for 2-3 mins.
  • STEP 3.Then add grated tomatoes, kokum. Boil well for 10 mins and add imli water and jaggery.
  • STEP 4.Garnish with chopped coriander.
  • STEP 5.server with ladoo
