Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to squeeze out any excess water from the blanched silverbeet leaves to prevent the gratin from becoming watery.
  • You can add some garlic or herbs to the cheese sauce for extra flavor.
  • For a crispy topping, sprinkle some breadcrumbs or grated Parmesan cheese over the gratin before baking.

Storage and Serving

  • Leftover gratin can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, place the gratin in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
  • Serve the gratin as a side dish with roasted meats or as a main course with a side salad for a complete meal.
