They have a unique recipe to make this cake which is prepared by roasting the semolina and cooking it with some milk in order to prepare a thick mixture so that it could be baked easily. This baked sweet cake recipe is unique in itself and has an amazing taste and texture that is loved by evryone.

Ingredients for Shwe Gyi Mont Recipe

  • 1 Semolina
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 can Coconut milk
  • As required Desiccated coconut
  • 2 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 cubes of butter
  • 1 cup Milk

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a pan start by roasting the semolina to bring out the flavor. Roast it for about 3-4 minutes. As the semolina is roasted can take it out on a plate.

step 2

  • STEP 1.In another pan start by adding 1 cup milk, 1 can coconut milk, the 2 beaten eggs, ¾ cup sugar, and the melted butter. Keep in stirring the mixture so that everything combines well.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Now add the roasted semolina to the pan and keep stirring the mixture until it thickens.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Now in a tray brush a little butter all over and add the semolina mixture. Spread it evenly and top it with the poppy seeds by sprinkling it all over.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Now, bake it at 145-163 degrees celsius. Once done cut the cake and add a little condensed milk. For more taste.
