Easy and quick recipe to prepre.This is a type of a japanese recipe of Chinese-style dumplings, but changed to match Japanese taste just like Gyoza.Shumai is the well-known Dim Sum along with barbecue pork bun and shrimp dumpling.

Ingredients for Shumai Recipe
- 0.67 pound ground pork
- 1/2 brown onion
- 3 dried Shiitake mushroom
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger root, grated
- 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1.50 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sake
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- As required pepper
- 12-15 Shumai wrappers
- 12-15 green peas
- 2-3 leaves of lettuce or nappa cabbage
- As required Vinegar Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- As required Japanese yellow mustard

How to Make Shumai Recipe
STEP 01
1- soak the mushroom and squeeze the excess water, chop them and brown onions
STEP 02
2-combine pork, onions,cornstrach,mushroom and all other seasonings in a bowl , mix well.
STEP 03
3- take shumai wrappers and wrap the mixture , top with green peas on each of them
STEP 04
1- in a steamer lay the lettuce leaves flat and place the shumai over it
STEP 05
2- cook in a steamer for 10mins
STEP 06
3-mix soy sauce and vinegar and serve with mustard
