Ingredients for Sheema Chakka Mezhukupuratti Recipe

  • 1/2 No.s Sliced Breadfruit
  • 2 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 7 Garlic pods
  • 10 No.s Shallots
  • 1.25 teaspoon Red chilly powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves

Directions: Sheema Chakka Mezhukupuratti Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.put the sliced breadfruit in water to prevent staining.

step 2

  • STEP 1.into a pressure cooker add sliced breadfruit, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, a pinch of salt and ¼ cup of water.

step 3

  • STEP 1.cook till 1 whistle blows.

step 4

  • STEP 1.heat a pan with 2 tsp oil.

step 5

  • STEP 1.crush the garlics and shallots together in a grinder. Add this crushed mix into the pan and saute well till brown.

step 6

  • STEP 1.then add a sprig of curry leaves and 1 ¼ tsp of chili powder and stir the ingredients.

step 7

  • STEP 1.transfer the half cooked breadfruit into the pan and continue to stir-cook.

step 8

  • STEP 1.cook on a low flame for 5 minutes. Then turn off the flame and serve the dish hot when the color of the breadfruit starts to change.
