  • 200 gram Noodles
  • 2 Water to boil noodles lt
  • 2 inch Spring onions cut into long thin slices 100gm
  • 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 4-6 tablespoon Peanut oil
  • As required Salt

How to Make Shanghai Noodles Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

In a medium size mixing bowl add 1 tbsp light soy sauce, ½ tbsp dark soy sauce, salt to taste, ½ tsp sugar and mix well.

Heat 4 to 6 tbsp peanut oil in a pan on medium heat.

STEP 01

Add 100 gm spring onions thinly sliced and fry till crispy brown. Stir occasionally.

STEP 01

Then transfer the fried spring onions and hot oil to the bowl with the soy sauce mixture.

STEP 01

Bring 2 litres of water to boil in a saucepan and add 200 gm noodles.

STEP 01

Boil until noodles are cooked. Then remove and strain the noodles.

STEP 01

Add the cooked noodles to the spring onion and soy sauce mixture.

STEP 01

Using chopsticks or tongs, mix well to ensure that the noodles are well coated with the sauce mix.

STEP 01

Shanghai noodles are ready.
