  • 0.13 cup Chana Dal
  • 1/4 inch Ginger, Chopped
  • 1.13 Lic Cloves, Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pressure cooker, cook the minced meat and lentils with water, ginger, garlic, and spices until tender.
  • STEP 2.Drain any excess water and transfer the mixture to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • STEP 3.In a mixing bowl, combine the blended mixture with chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, and spices. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.Shape the mixture into small patties and shallow fry them in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  • STEP 5.Serve the Shammi Kebabs hot with mint chutney or as desired.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to cook the minced meat and lentils until they are tender to ensure a smooth texture.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less green chilies.
