Shkargandhi (sweet ;potato) is superfood to increase ur immunity good for eye sight full of pottasium and iron. This kheer is quick made dessert with less ingredients and moreover its sugarfree dessert i had prepared it with jaggery powder. This is best dessert in winter

Ingredients for Shakargandhi (sweet Potato) Kheer Recipe

  • 1/10 Litres milk ( full fat milk )
  • 50 Gm Semi boiled shakargandhi
  • As Required Jaggery powder
  • 0.13 Tsp Cardamom powder
  • 2 Pieces Almonds
  • As Required Any other dry fruit of ur choice
  • 1 Tsp Desi Ghee

Directions: Shakargandhi (sweet Potato) Kheer Recipe

  • STEP 1. Boil shakargandhi in pressure cooker with on glass of water for 1 whistle it must half cooked. or you can roast shakargandhi in oven.
  • STEP 2. On cooling down peel off shargandhi and grate it .
  • STEP 3.. In a heavy bottom pan add desi ghee and roast gated shakargandhi for 2-3 minutes on slow flame it gives nice flavour in kheer.
  • STEP 4. After roasting add milk and put flame on low mediun and stir it continously for 2-3 minutes an later on short intervals for 10 minutes till you get creamy texture if you think it get more thicker then add little more milk sometimes it depends upon the fat content in milk.
  • STEP 5.5. Add cardamom [owder sir it for 10 seconds then add jaggery powder . i had added 1tsp because sweet potato is already had sweet content. you can increase or decrease it. stir it for 30 seconds and switch off the flame.
  • STEP 6. Serve it in earthen bowls it adds distinct aroma in kheer
  • STEP 7. Garnish it with almond Slices. or dry fruits of ur choice.
  • STEP 8.8. serve it hot or icy cold as per ur choice
