How to Make Shahi Tukda Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

For the rabri, pour 2 litres milk into a sauce pan, add ¾ cup sugar and a few saffron strands and mix well.

STEP 01

Bring the mixture to a boil and after a few minutes, turn the heat to low and reduce till ¾th the quantity.

STEP 01

To this add 1 tsp cardamom powder , 1 tsp rose water. Mix well and keep aside.

STEP 01

Pour 1 cup of water into the saucepan, add ¾ cup sugar and stir until the sugar melts.

STEP 01

Allow it to boil for about 2 minutes, add ½ tsp cardamom powder and 1 tbsp rose water and turn off the heat.

For the toasted bread,on a preheated pan add diagonally cut bread slices with trimmed edges .

STEP 01

Drizzle ghee on top. Flip and drizzle ghee on the other side as well. Toast on the pan until crisp and golden brown.keep aside.

Dip toasted bread in sugar syrup for 10 seconds.
