Shahi Paneer is originating from the Indian subcontinent. Shahi Paneer is a thick gravy and it is a very popular dish. Shahi Paneer is often eaten at parties, marriage ceremonies, special occasions or functions. The main ingredients of Shahi Panner are cream, yogurt, milk, paneer and spices. Paneer is also known as Cottage Cheese. Paneer (cottage cheese) is rich in protein, helps to improve digestion system, maintains sugar level and helps to lose weight. Indians love Paneer (Cottage Cheese) and Paneer is called the king of all vegetables. Paneer can be made in many different ways, such as Khadai Paneer, Paneer do Payaza, Paneer Biryani, Paneer mushroom, Paneer Pulao, Paneer matar curry and Paneer tikka etc. Today, in this recipe I'm going to show you how to make a healthy and delicious Shahi Paneer, for your lunch and dinner.

Ingredients for Shahi Paneer (Cottage Cheese)....Healthy Recipe Recipe

  • 62.50 Grams Paneer (CUT IN CUBES)
  • 31.25 Grams Card (Dahi or Yogurt)
  • 31.25 Grams Milk (chilled)
  • 31.25 Grams Fresh cream
  • As Required salt as per taste
  • 1/2 Tbsp red chilli powder ( as per taste)
  • 1/4 Tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 Tbsp garam masala
  • 1/4 Tsp cumin powder
  • 2.50 Pieces Cashew nuts piesce
  • 25 Gram Cooing oil
  • 1 Tbsp Kasuri meethi
  • As Required water if required
  • 1/2 Pieces tomatoes
  • 1/2 Pieces finely chopped
  • 1/4 Pieces medium size onion
  • 1/4 Pieces Roughly chopped
  • 1.50 Pieces garlic cloves(peeled)
  • 1/2 Inch ginger
  • 1/2 Pieces bay leaves
  • 1/2 Pieces cinnamon sticks
  • 1.50 Pieces Black pepper corns nos
  • 1 Pieces Green cardamom pods
  • 1 Inch cloves
  • 1/2 Pieces brown cardamoms

Directions: Shahi Paneer (Cottage Cheese)....Healthy Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Take a Khadai or pot vessel, heat oil, add onion and saute for 2 minutes or till it becomes soft, then add ginger and garlic pieces, saute for a minute, now add tomato and sprinkle some salt over it and cook for 5 minutes, salt helps to cook the tomatoes easily. Turn off the flame, let it cool down. As shown in the picture.
  • STEP 2.2. In the meanwhile, cut the Paneer into cubes, as shown in the picture.
  • STEP 3.3) Now your mixture has cooled down. Take a grinder/mixer and grind this mixture to make it a fine paste. Set aside.
  • STEP 4.4. . Take a large Khadai/pot vessel, heat oil, add bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, green cardamoms, cloves, brown cardamoms saute for 30 seconds, then add this paste into the oil, add salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala, cook for 10-15 minutes or until the oil separates from the gravy.
  • STEP 5.5. . Now add beaten yogurt to the gravy and cook for 5-10 minutes or until the oil separates from the gravy.
  • STEP 6.6. Take a grinder/mixer and grind cashew nuts along with milk to make a smooth paste. Now add this mixture into the gravy and keep stirring until the oil separates from the gravy.
  • STEP 7.7. Now add fresh cream, and cook for another 2 minutes, yours gravy is ready, as shown in the picture.
  • STEP 8.8. Now add Kasuri Meethi and Paneer (cottage cheese) and mix them well and cook for 2-3 minutes, as shown in the picture. Add water if required.
  • STEP 9.9. Yours yummy and delicious Shahi Paneer is ready to be served. Eat with your favorite Naan, Romali Roti or Rice.
