Shahi makhana chaat is a very unique and healthy version of deep fried bhalla or papdi chaat. It is commonly prepared during the time of Navratri. But it can be served and had in normal times also. it is very light and healthy snack. Makhanas are low in cholesterol and consist of lots of calcium and magnesium. Makhanas are recommended for diabetics too.

Ingredients for Shahi Makhana Chaat Recipe

  • 1 cups Makhanas two
  • 125 gm Curd
  • as required soaked almonds
  • As Required Raisins
  • as required Pomogranate pearls
  • As Required Saffron threads
  • As Required Few Ginger julians
  • 0.13 cup Tamarind sauce for drizzling
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar powder one
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilly powder half
  • 1/4 teaspoon black salt half
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder half
  • 1/4 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder half
  • as required Salt

Directions: Shahi Makhana Chaat Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix saffron threads in two tablespoons milk and keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Dry roast makhanas in a pan until crisp on low flame.
  • STEP 3.Take curd in a bowl. Whisk well.
  • STEP 4.Add saffron milk in it. Stir well.
  • STEP 5.Add sugar, salt, black salt, red chilly powder, black pepper powder and roasted cumin powder in it. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add almonds, raisins and roasted makhanas in it. Mix well. Keep aside for two minutes until makhanas slightly soften.
  • STEP 7.Put makhana mixture into serving bowl.
  • STEP 8.Sprinkle red chilly powder, roasted cumin powder on it.
  • STEP 9.Drizzle some green chutney and tamarind chutney on it.
  • STEP 10.Sprinkle pomogranate pearls and ginger jullians on it.
  • STEP 11.Serve immediately.
