Ingredients for Shahi Kulfa Recipe

  • 1 liter full fat milk
  • 1 cup whipping Cream or fresh Cream
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 4 bread Slices
  • 150 gram Sugar
  • 10 almonds
  • 10 Pistachios
  • 1 teaspoon kewra water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom Powder
  • 1 pinch saffron

Directions: Shahi Kulfa Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Start by adding half a cup milk into milk powder and make a slurry out of it. Make sure it’s lump free.

step 2

  • STEP 2.Now take a deep vessel and transfer the milk to it. And then bring the milk to a boil on high flame. Once the milk comes to boil, add the breadcrumbs and cook it on medium flame.

  • STEP 3.Now add the milk powder slurry and cook it on medium flame to thicken the mixture. Add a few strands of saffron this is optional but you can add it for more flavor and color.

  • STEP 4.Let it cook on medium flame and it should reduce by ¼ of its mixture. It will take around 20-25 mins.

  • STEP 5.Now once it has reduced add the sugar and the dry fruits and mix well. Let it cook for another 5-7 mins. Add the cream and cook it for 5-6mins on medium flame.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Once done, place it in a container, garnish it with some saffron strands and dry fruits, and let it cool, then add it in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight. Enjoy cold.
