Ingredients for Shahi Kulfa Recipe

  • 1 liter full fat milk
  • 1 cup whipping Cream or fresh Cream
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 4 bread Slices
  • 150 gram Sugar
  • 10 almonds
  • 10 Pistachios
  • 1 teaspoon kewra water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom Powder
  • 1 pinch saffron

How to Make Shahi Kulfa Recipe


Start by adding half a cup milk into milk powder and make a slurry out of it. Make sure it’s lump free.


Now take a deep vessel and transfer the milk to it. And then bring the milk to a boil on high flame. Once the milk comes to boil, add the breadcrumbs and cook it on medium flame.


Now add the milk powder slurry and cook it on medium flame to thicken the mixture. Add a few strands of saffron this is optional but you can add it for more flavor and color.


Let it cook on medium flame and it should reduce by ¼ of its mixture. It will take around 20-25 mins.


Now once it has reduced add the sugar and the dry fruits and mix well. Let it cook for another 5-7 mins. Add the cream and cook it for 5-6mins on medium flame.

Once done, place it in a container, garnish it with some saffron strands and dry fruits, and let it cool, then add it in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight. Enjoy cold.
