#paneer Generally babka is made with brioche dough with sweet chocolate stuffing. After so many sweet bakes I was craving for some spicy thing so tried this savoury version with Paneer and some regular Italian spices with our all time favorite processed cheese. Do give it a try your kids are goona love this bread.

Ingredients for Savoury Babka Recipe

  • 1 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 3/4 tbsp Milk powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Softened butter
  • 1/4 cup Grated paneer
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp 4-5 tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 1 Pieces Cubes cheese

Directions: Savoury Babka Recipe

  • STEP 1.Leukwarm the milk. Add in sugar and yeast. Mix and let it bloom for 10 mins.
  • STEP 2.Take all flour, salt, milk powder, oregano, pepper powder, garlic powder, chilli flakes into a bowl. Give it a nice mix. add milk yeast mixture and knead a sticky soft dough using required water.
  • STEP 3.Add butter to the dough and knead it on kitchen surface with stretching method. Knead until you get a nice soft dough.
  • STEP 4.Cover with cling film and let it rise for 2 hours.
  • STEP 5.Take out the dough. Puncture it and divide in two portions.
  • STEP 6.Roll each portion into a thick base.add half marinara and half of the dried spices.
  • STEP 7.Now add grated paneer and one cheese cube grated. Roll this to get a tube and then cut lengthwise leaving 1 inch from top.
  • STEP 8.Fold this to get this beautiful Babka..
