  • 1/4 No.s Onion
  • 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 No.s Green chilli
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 Sprig Curry leaves
  • 0.06 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • As required Salt
  • 0.13 cup Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Oil
  • As required Oil for Frying

How to Make Savala Vada Recipe

Cooking Directions

STEP 01

Take a sieve and a bowl. Place the sieve on the bowl and sieve 1cup all purpose flour, ¼ tsp baking soda and salt to taste.

STEP 02

Take another bowl and add chopped onion, 2-3 chopped green chillies, 1tsp grated ginger and chopped curry leaves. Mix well. Add ½ cup water and gradually add the sieved flour. Mix it well.

STEP 03

Add 1tsp oil and mix well.

STEP 04

Take an airtight container and keep the dough in it. Cover it and let it rest for 2hrs.

STEP 05

Heat oil in a kadai.

STEP 06

Take a bowl with water and dip your hands in water. Then take a small portion of the dough. Using your thumb, make a hole in the middle of the dough. Carefully put it to the oil and fry it in medium flame.

STEP 07

Turn it after 2 minutes. Fry it until both sides become golden brown in colour.

STEP 08

Repeat step 6-7 for the rest of the dough.
