Ingredients for Sambar Vada Recipe

  • 62.50 Grams Urad dal
  • 1/4 Cup Toor dal
  • 1/2 Tsp Coriander seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp Jeera
  • 0.06 Tsp Methi dana
  • 0.13 Tsp Mustard seed (Rai)
  • 1.25 Pieces Curry leaves
  • 1/2 Pieces big onions sliced
  • 1/4 Pieces pieces big tomato cut into
  • 1/4 Pieces coconut for chutney
  • 1.25 Pieces Red chillies
  • To Taste Salt
  • 0.06 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 Tbsp Tamarind pulp

Directions: Sambar Vada Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take 250gms urad dal and grind it in the mixer to make Vadas.
  • STEP 2.Boil the toor dal in the cooker and add salt and turmeric powder to it.
  • STEP 3.For sambar powder take 2tsp coriander seeds,1tsp jeera,7to8 seeds methi Dana,3 to 4 whole red chillies roast all ingredients without oil and grind it with a small piece of coconut.
  • STEP 4.And make a fine paste and add it in the boiled dal.
  • STEP 5.Toss the sliced onions and tomatoes in a pan and put it in the sambar.
  • STEP 6.Now for the sambar 's tadka heat 2tsp oil in The pan add hing,Rai,jeera whole red chillies and let it crackal and then put it in the sambar along with the tamarind pulp.
  • STEP 7.For coconut chutney -take 1 big coconut cut into small pieces add green chillies roasted chana dal,salt and grind well.
  • STEP 8.For chutney's tadka.heat oil in a pan add Rai,jeera,hing,curry leaves and let it crackal and then add it in the coconut chutney
  • STEP 9.Put the sambar in the bowl and serve it with Vadas and chutney.
