Ingredients for Sambal Anchovies Recipe

  • 100 gram anchovies
  • 3 Nos Bombay onions
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 80 gram Shallots
  • 2 Nos garlic cloves
  • 20 gram tamarind pulp
  • 3 tablespoon chilli paste
  • 1 teaspoon shrimp base granules
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder(mixed with a little water into a thick paste
  • 50 gram soft brown sugar
  • 50 gram Sugar
  • 1-1 teaspoon 0.5 salt

  • STEP 1.Grind shallots,garlic and make a paste

  • STEP 2.Slice onions

step 3

  • STEP 3.Soak tamarind in 220 ml water

step 5

  • STEP 4.1.add oil in a pan & heat it

step 6

  • STEP 5.2.add ground mixture and fry until aromatic.

step 7

  • STEP 6.3.then add chilli paste and saute until fragrant.

step 8

  • STEP 7.4.add sliced onions,tamarind water and seasoning.

step 9

  • STEP 8.5.cook for 5-10 mins until gravy is thick

step 10

  • STEP 9.6.now add the fried anchovies and mix well.
