Ingredients for Salty Bites Recipe

  • 1/4 Cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 Cup all - purpose flour
  • 0.06 Cup oil
  • 1/4 Tsp carom seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp dry fenugreek leaves
  • To Taste tsp Salt or
  • As Required Oil for frying

Directions: Salty Bites Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a large mixing bow take 1 cup wheat flour and 1cup all-purpose flour also add 1 tsp ajwain, 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves and 1/2 tsp salt or to taste and oil and mix well.

  • STEP 2.Now add luckwarm water slowly and start to knead the dough.knead the dough well, until form stiff and tight. Keep the dough aside covered for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and make ball.Take one ball and roll it into a thin chaptai on a rolling board.using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the circle into quarters. Again, cut each quarter in half, like pizza into a triangle shape. fold it to shape like Croissants and join its edges.

  • STEP 4.Similarly shape the rest of the dough.

  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a deep pan on medium flame. When the oil is sufficiently hot add a few salty bites at a time and fry them on low-medium flame for 7-8 minutes or until crisp and golden in colour. drain them on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.

  • STEP 6.Sprinkle chaat masala on the prepared salty bites Allow salty bites to cool to room temperature and store them into an airtight container.You can serve with tea or as a snack
