Ingredients for Saltfish Fitters Recipe

  • 230 gram boneless salted cod fish or use any white fish
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 No.s medium onion finely diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced scotch bonnet pepper replace with hot sauce
  • 3 tablespoon parsley minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme minced
  • 2 tablespoon minced bell pepper
  • 1 No.s large egg
  • 5.50 cup milk or water
  • As required Freshly grated pepper
  • 3 cup Vegetable Oil For Frying

Directions: Saltfish Fitters Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 - add flour, baking powder, sugar, paprika, garlic powder, chopped onions, shredded salt fish, thyme bell pepper, scotch bonnet pepper, egg, parsley, milk and mix everything together.

step 2

  • STEP 2.1 - heat some oil in a pan and drop spoonfuls of batter in it.

step 3

  • STEP 3.2 - fry until the fitters turn golden brown.

step 4

  • STEP 4.3 - serve it with your favourite sauce.
