Ingredients for rose modak Recipe

  • 0.06 cup ¼ cup g
  • 1/2 tbsp Mixed nuts
  • 1/2 Tbsp Chopped
  • 1/2 cups Mawa
  • 0.19 cup ¾ Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Rose syrup

Directions: Rose Modak Recipe

  • STEP 1.* For stuffing, combine all the ingredients and mix well. Keep aside.
  • STEP 2.* For outer covering, heat a heavy bottom pan on low flame.
  • STEP 3.* Add mawa and keep stirring for a minute, mawa will start melting.
  • STEP 4.* When it melts add sugar and stir further for a minute.
  • STEP 5.* When the mixture starts leaving fat, add rose syrup and cook till mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  • STEP 6.* Turn off the flame and transfer the mixture to a plate. Allow it cool.
  • STEP 7.* When the mixture is still warm, gently knead into dough.
  • STEP 8.* Divide the dough into equal portions and make smooth balls.
  • STEP 9.* Grease the modak mould with ghee and stuff a mawa ball in it.
  • STEP 10.* Press the ball so as to cover the sides of the mould and make a cavity in the centre.
  • STEP 11.* Fill in the stuffing and with a small portion of dough, cover the base of the modak.
  • STEP 12.* Gently unmould the modaks and repeat with others.
